8 Makeup Tips for Girls who Wear Glasses

Bring out your looks by wearing the right glasses and complimenting #makeup that makes eyes reflective behind the frames.
Here are some tips that will definitely help you flaunt chic looks:

Bold lipstick colours such as red, orange, dark pink make for a gorgeous and stylish look.

Pick the right glasses with coloured and trendy frames. Do not choose very small or very large glasses because they may mess up your looks. Reconcile your face shape with the frame shape:

             Broad-shaped frames — Oval face
            Square-shaped —- Round Face
            Large Frame —- Heart-shaped Face
Flat at top and round at bottom — Square-shaped face

Use Eyeshadows that compliment your skin tone and dress should be preferred.

Contour face with a neutral, lighter foundation for a natural look. Blend foundation in small circular strokes covering all facial contours for an even application. Excess foundation may cake on the frame.

Thicken eyelashes with mascara. Use a waterproof mascara to prevent smudges. Curl eyelashes to make them appear longer and voluminous.

If the frames are thin, highlight eyes with thin eyeliner strokes. Thicker eyeliner looks well on thicker frames.

Blush tones up your cheeks. Use a natural lighter blush for a sophisticated appearance.

Conceal eyes to reduce dark circles, spectacles marks, eye bags. Doing so makes eyes more noticeable.

TIPS TO FINDING THE RIGHT LIPSTICK FOR YOU!

Most ladies have eye-makeup done wonderfully, blush applied perfectly, foundation is flawless until you see her lips and they are either basically erased or filled up with an unflattering color. Lipsticks should only be worn if they flatter you – the right lipstick shade will be able to give you almost a face lift, enhancing your skin tone and making your eyes look brighter.

1. Match Undertones: (Cool = not bright, Warm = Bright):
Believe it or not, lipstick colors tend to have undertones too. They might have a cool or warm undertone just like your skin or foundation has. The trick is in deciding what undertone the lipstick is and then knowing what undertone you are and then matching the two. A cool undertone on warm skin can look like an ashy mess and a warm undertone on cool skin might look a little weird too.
2. Types of finishes:
Lipsticks have different finishes and not all tubes of glory were created equal. Here are a few different types of finishes and a few tips and tricks to using them for different situations.
Matte Lipsticks – Matte lipticks usually have a powdery finish and are great to make that poster finish. They’re dense, last the longest and are partially known for being a little drying. If you have dry and flakly lips no matter how many lip scrubs you’ve taken, matte lipstcks are not for you. They will emphasize the flakes on your lips which isn’t a hot look.
Sheer Lipsticks – Sheer lipsticks are semi-transparent colors that are great for everyday. They tend to have a semi-gloss finish that makes it more moisturising. If you are looking to add just a tinge of color, try going sheer. However, if you know that the color will make your look, you might want to opt for something else.
Amplified Lipsticks/Lip Tars – These are the most pigmented forms of lippies. If you’re looking to create that Classic Holiday Look or Katy Perry’s hot pink lips for an event or a costume party, then these lipsticks will really put a boost. They’re more long lasting and can even semi-stain your lips so remember when removing.
3. What Characteristics do I judge it on?
When reviewing lipsticks, there are three characteristics that you should really look for in a good lipstick. I want to know about it’s texture, lasting power and color payoff. The texture should be smooth, silky and not dry. It should also last a while, Lipstick that won’t make you look like a vain pot when out and will need constant re-application. At least stick around for a few hours. Also really look at color payoff. A good lipstick like a good shadow will produce great color payoff.
4. Put the lipstick to your face:
At the store, What you should tend to do and what makes a great tip is to just put the lipstick to your face, not on it. That way you can see whether the lip color matches your undertone.
5. Lip shades best for different Skin tones:
It’s a fact that different lip shades are best for different skin tones or rather different shades of lips, here’s a quick guide for selecting lip colors according to the natural color of your lips.
Pale lips – beiges, sand pinks, light corals, pale pinks or bright reds.
Medium lips – brown, pale rose, pink, oranges, warm reds.
Dark lips – browns, deep reds, plums, deep chocolate, or deep berry colors.
Too toned lips – chocolate, blackberry, deep plums, deep raisins and deep reds.

Natural Beauty Tips for Men and Women by Ifunanya Mokwuah

Hello, are you tired of spending $$$ on acne treatments, or tired of the frequent pimples on your face, or want to know natural ways to clear up your skin instead of using harsh chemicals? I’m here to the rescue!
My acne story: I never had serious acne, I would get a pimple or two once a month, but what I hated about my skin was after the pimple left I had acne scars (dark spots where the pimple was) I didn’t know how to treat it, I tried just about every product you could think of to help combat my acne and also treat my serious discoloration. If I spent another dime on a cleanser, facial mask, or discoloration cream that didn’t work, I was going to scream. I started doing my own research and found out that natural products not only worked better, were inexpensive, and great for my skin and body because it was natural and contained no harsh chemicals. I’m here to give you some beauty tricks and tips I have used that has not only changed my skin but others as well.
Tips!
1) Most important tip, is Drink Water! You need to be hydrated, try to drink up to 8 glasses a day, it seems like a lot but it isn’t. My favorites are:
Lemon water = detox body, clears skin, weight loss, balances ph, boost immune system, blood purifier, and helps with throat infections
Cucumber water= digestive benefits, weight loss, and natural remedy for headaches
2) Get up to 8 hours of sleep, your body needs to be well rested.
3) Wash your face twice a day, morning and night
4) Try Lemon and Honey Mask, cut a lemon in half, squeeze the juice, and add a teaspoon of honey. Apply on face for 20 minutes and rinse off with cold water. Great for clear acne and lighten discoloration, and gives you a natural glow. (can be also applied on the lips as well to lighten them)
5) Apple cider vinegar is a natural toner with frequent use can help clear acne and fade dark spots caused by acne scars. Use a cotton ball, dab a little of the ACV on the cotton ball and apply to face or area affected, can be done Morning and Night.
6) Eat bananas! They give you energy, increase happiness, provide a ton of potassium, and make your skin glow!
7) Cucumber slices, Black teabags, or ice over your eyes helps to reduce puffiness and darkness. Leave on for 10 minutes with your eyes shut and relax. (play some music, you will get bored. Believe me)
8) Eat more strawberries! It contains Salicylic acid which helps fight acne. You could also mash it up in a bowl, add honey, and make a great face mask, leave on for 20 minutes and wash with lukewarm water.
9) Run and exercise! Studies show that when you exercise you age more slowly because of natural human growth hormones released during vigorous activity
10) Lighten Acne Scars: Dab fresh lemon/lime juice on affected areas 2x daily for 30 minutes. Then rinse with warm water
11) Cinnamon and Honey Mask is a great Anti-Acne mask, helps to remove pimples from the root and clear skin!
12) Facial yoga, EXERCISE THOSE FACE MUSCLES!! so that your skin doesn’t sag, stays younger looking and more firm. You can check out Youtube for different Facial yoga techniques videos.
13) A daily cup of green tea keeps you wrinkle-free! Green tea is 200 times more powerful than Vitamin E at healing damaged skin.
15) Exfoliate 1-2 weekly! It will remove dead skin cells, dirt, & oil…and will leave your skin baby soft!
16) At night, massage olive oil on your skin, it works deep in the skin to hydrate it without clogging your pores, when you wake up your skin will be my softer and smoother.
17) Stop comparing yourself to celebrities or other people, they are people too and get acne. You don’t know, they are probably reading this article right now! The worst thing we do is compare ourselves to others.
Our skin are all different, what works for some people might not work for you but I’m telling you, if you follow and use my tips FREQUENTLY you will see a change in your face. Create a routine, and stick with it! That’s the problem most people have, in order for these things to work you can’t try it once or twice and because you don’t see immediate results right there and then, give up! NO! Your skin/body needs time to work and get used to it, once that happens you will start seeing the changes. I guarantee it.

Apply Your Own Makeup

APPLY YOUR OWN MAKEUP

Forget what you think you know about foundation—it’s come a long way since the cakey, masklike stuff your mom used to wear. “Modern ones feel as lightweight as moisturizer,” says celebrity makeup artist Troy Surratt, who has worked with Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. “Celebs look so great on the red carpet because they’re usually wearing foundation. It makes anyone’s skin look flawless,” he says. Here’s how to get in on the miracle.
Step 1: Find your perfect color
“Test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight,” says CoverGirl makeup guru Pat McGrath. “The color is correct if it disappears without blending.” Finding the right shade at the drugstore can be harder, but Surratt gives this sneaky tip: “If you can’t afford to splurge on foundation, get a beauty adviser at a department store to help you pick the perfect color, and ask for a sample to take home. Then bring it to the drugstore and look for the closest match.”
Step 2: Prep your skin
For the perfect canvas, make sure your skin is clean and moisturized. “Wait five minutes before you apply foundation to let moisturizer sink in,” says makeup pro Rachel Goodwin, who works with Emma Stone and Jessica Biel. Primer is a skippable step unless your makeup has to last through a late night. Or use it alone on lazy days as a quick complexion smoother. “Primer can minimize pores and mattify your face,” says Surratt.
Step 3: Swipe it on the right way
If you want just a little coverage, use your fingers, pros advise. For more coverage, use a sponge. The Beauty-blender Cosmetic Sponge is a cult favorite among pros: “It leaves just the right amount on the skin,” says Goodwin. For everyday, dab foundation only where you need it to hide pimples, camouflage redness or even out your T-zone. To get an airbrushed finish, blend makeup all over, including the eye area, starting in the middle and working your way out. Just don’t pile on extra for big events or photos. Digital cameras won’t wash you out like old school ones used to, so less is more.
Step 4: Do concealer after foundation
“If you apply it before, you’ll use more than you need,” says Goodwin. And that base of foundation keeps concealer crease-free. Look for a lightweight liquid in a color one shade lighter than your skin. “Going too light looks fake,” says McGrath, like reverse raccoon eyes. Use a small, pointy brush to cover the darkest part of under-eye circles—usually right below the inner and outer corners. If other little skin flaws aren’t quite covered by your foundation, dab on a tiny bit of concealer
